We understand that many of you enjoy a drink after a good walk, so we've put together a pleasant route to the nearby pubs in Symonds Yat. Ye Old Ferrie Inn is conveniently located on our side of the river, but you can also opt to cross over to The Saracens Head Inn - Symonds Yat by hand ferry... or why not visit both! We've had a great start to the 2025 season here at Doward Park Campsite. The weather has been hot and sunny which has made for a lot of happy campers! As always it's been great to welcome lots of new campers as well as many returning guests.


Spring Flowers on the Doward
April/May are amazing months to visit us here at Doward Park Campsite. The woodland surrounding the site is covered with blue and white as the bluebells, wild garlic and other spring flowers take over the Doward, and the greenery of the trees return. There are so many walks leaving the campsite to enjoy; roam the nature reserves, explore King Arthurs cave, soak in the views from Seven Sisters viewpoint or stroll along the river to one of the local pubs. Seven Sisters Walk
One of our favourite short loops is the walk to the Seven Sisters viewpoint. This walk takes you through the woods, passed King Arthurs cave and on to a beautiful viewpoint on the Seven Sisters rocks overlooking the river Wye. Our Adventure Playground!
The Adventure Playground at Doward Park Campsite is a safe, woodland‑themed play area designed for young children to explore, climb and enjoy during their stay. It’s located right on the campsite, close to the facilities, and offers a relaxed, natural space for families to unwind.
