Take in the most spectacular view of the River Wye at Yat Rock

For one of the best views over the river Wye, head up to the viewpoint at Yat Rock in Symonds Yat. Here you not only have a spectacular view from an old iron age fort, but also the chance to spot peregrine falcons who nest in the 100 metre cliffs nearby. Walk from the campsite down to the river and over the bridge at Biblins. Walk along the river towards the Saracens Head pub then up the steep track on your right to arrive at Yat Rock. There you can enjoy the views and there is also a cafe. Head back down, stopping for a drink at the Saracens Head pub before taking the hand ferry over the river and walk back through the woodland.
