Flora & fauna of the Doward

We are lucky to have such a large amount of wildlife in our local woodland. Whilst relaxing on the campsite you can spot squirrels, woodpeckers, robins, jays, deer and more. In the woodlands we have foxes, badgers, and a number of rare species such as the grizzled skipper butterfly and if you are lucky whilst walking the nature reserves at night you may spot a glow worm! Spring is a beautiful time to visit when the woodlands are covered in bluebells and wild garlic. We have a couple of informative booklets available in our shop with all the proceeds going to the Herefordshire Wildlife Trust.
