Spring Flowers on the Doward
April/May are amazing months to visit us here at Doward Park Campsite. The woodland surrounding the site is covered with blue and white as the bluebells, wild garlic and other spring flowers take over the Doward, and the greenery of the trees return. Seven Sisters Walk
One of our favourite short loops is the walk to the Seven Sisters viewpoint. This walk takes you through the woods, passed King Arthurs cave and on to a beautiful viewpoint on the Seven Sisters rocks overlooking the river Wye. Flora & Fauna of the Doward
We are lucky to have such a large amount of flora & fauna in our local woodland on the Doward. Whilst relaxing on the campsite you can spot squirrels, woodpeckers, robins, jays, deer and more. In the woodlands we have foxes, badgers, and a number of rare species such as the grizzled skipper butterfly and if you are lucky whilst walking the nature reserves at night you may spot a glow worm!
