We understand that many of you enjoy a drink after a good walk, so we've put together a pleasant route to the nearby pubs in Symonds Yat. Ye Old Ferrie Inn is conveniently located on our side of the river, but you can also opt to cross over to The Saracens Head Inn - Symonds Yat by hand ferry... or why not visit both! This delightful walk takes you through the woods and along the river.

We recommend making a booking at

For a longer circular woodland adventure, start from Doward Park Campsite and follow the trail to King Arthur’s Cave. Continue through the trees to the Seven Sisters viewpoint, where the Wye Valley opens up beneath you. From here, continue along until you meet the gravel track and drop down to Biblins Bridge and cross over the river.

Follow the riverside path to the Saracens Head for a well‑earned pause, then hop across on the hand ferry and carry on to the Ye Olde Ferrie Inn. When you’re ready, simply follow the woodland paths back up to Doward Park Campsite.
